Established in 1918, Mosquito Creek is thought to be one of the oldest brigades in the district. Currently the brigade has 65 members with 24 of these active firefighters. The brigade averages 20+ turn outs per year.

Mosquito Creek RFB has an area of responsibility of more than 40,000 hectares on the Kimbolton side of the Lake Eppalock; the area is a mix of state forest and private farming land, also our area has a large part of Lake Eppalock's water edge. This makes it unique with the 50+ boat clubs, social club parks, school camps and 2 commercial caravan parks.
